Crocodile is a compact, fully automated, high performance ELISA workstation for low to medium throughput. Crocodile provides the same functionality as five individual instruments in a footprint similar to a standard stand-alone-reader. The use of Crocodile will reduce assay times by eliminating the need to move plates between dispenser, washer, incubator, shaker and reader. more...

Fully automated processing of small-volume homogeneous HT assays by MAP-C2 Liquid Handling Workstation
Small-volume assays are extremely attractive for HT applications due to reduced reagent consumption per assay and use of high-density microplates. In this study we performed optimization of the MAP-C2 liquid handling workstation's dispense profile for oil layer penetration and investigated performance of a small-volume 2-step homogeneous assay in walk-away automation mode using a MAP-C2 integrated with a microplate reader. more....
Monitoring Ca++- dependent signalling in high-throughput format
Primary cells transiently transfected with the calcium biosensor i-Photina® and available as ready-to-use tool are a groundbreaking new system for monitoring Ca2+-dependent signalling upon stimulation with physiological agonists in high-throughput formats. Here we show that the Orion II microplate reader in combination with the HMVEC-L Calcium Biosensor is very well suited to easily detect dose-dependent Ca2+ responses with EC50 values consistent with published data. more...
96 Well Agar Dispensing Platform for Microbial Cell-Based High Throughput Applications in Microbiology
An early step in the development antiobiotic agents employs High Throughput (HT) screening of lead agents. The established platform is provided by 96-well microplates, filled with agar. Achieving a uniform distribution of agar media between wells of each plate and a consistent dispense volume between plates within a batch become significant challenges for a liquid handling workstation due to agar's viscosity. To address these challenges we developed a High Throughput workstation for dispensing a traditional agar based media preparation into 96-well plates. MAP-C2 Application Note. more
